Set 42170 Kawasaki Ninja H2R Motorcycle was the 2024 addition to the 1:8-scale LEGO® Technic motorcycle range, depicting the Kawasaki Ninja H2R, also from 2024. It is noteworthy for being the first set to feature new engine cylinder elements that have quickly spread to all kinds of sets, big and small.

Review: 21357 Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. from LEGO® Ideas
1986 was a historic year. The world was rocked by some tragedies; the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after launch and the Chernobyl disaster remains the worst nuclear accident in the history of nuclear power generation. On a lighter note, the disposable camera was invented by Fujifilm, and the animated short film Luxo Jr. was produced and released by Pixar Animation Studios.

The next LEGO® Ideas set to be released is 21357 Disney Pixar Luxo Jr., a LEGO version of the baby lamp and ball featured in the short film, which remains a icon of the company today.

A new LEGO® Icons set has just landed! 10360 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft is a 2417-piece set that recreates the space shuttle Enterprise and the modified Boeing 747™ that was used to transport it between missions. While LEGO has produced a great number of space shuttle sets in the past, this is the first time to see this specific shuttle in brick form. This is also the first official LEGO depiction of the Boeing 747.
Fasten your seat belts and check that overhead compartment because this jumbo jet is quite a ride!

Review: 10351 Sherlock Holmes: Book Nook from LEGO® Icons
With the endless surge of adult-oriented sets, it is astonishing that Sherlock Holmes, the world's most famous detective, has not officially appeared in a LEGO® form – not even as a Gift with Purchase, similar to the Jules Verne set.
Created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887, Sherlock's influence in storytelling has been remarkable. Thus, it's brilliant to see that his LEGO debut is directly bound to books: LEGO® Icons set 10351 Sherlock Holmes: Book Nook is designed to be displayed among them.

Review: 10352 The Simpsons™: Krusty Burger from LEGO® Icons
The Simpsons™ is one of the most famous and longest-running animated shows ever, and is still going (strong?). The dysfunctional family has been captured in LEGO® form before, and now, after 10 years of silence (aside from a rogue LEGO® Brickheadz set), they are back for a snack – at 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger.
As I was still fully in my LEGO® Technic phase when The Simpsons LEGO sets came out, I’m eager to build the revival, now marketed under the LEGO® Icons umbrella, and discover its new pieces.

Review: 76974 Brick-built Mosasaurus Boat Mission from LEGO® Jurassic World™

The mosasaurus is not a dinosaur, it's a prehistoric marine reptile of epic proportions, so will the LEGO interpretation float my boat or leave me at sea?

LEGO® Pythagorean triangles: Escaping the grid
Arno Knobbe (@legoarno on Instagram) completes his popular trilogy of guest articles today, gently introducing you to the math behind useful techniques for building at diagonals to the LEGO® grid. If you missed them, you may wish to read the others first – Part 1: building at angles, and Part 2: techniques with reflected wedges.
Building a triangle naturally forces you to escape the LEGO® grid. Sure, you can align 2 sides with the grid – creating a right triangle – but the third side will have to be diagonal. As soon as you try this, you run into trouble: most dimensions will not lead to easy connections at the 2 corners involved, neither with hinge plates nor regular stud-antistud connections. The age-old answer to this challenge, that most builders will be familiar with, is the Pythagorean triangle. Today’s article is my modern take on this millennia-old technique.

LEGO® techniques with reflected wedges: Escaping the grid
After the popularity of his first guest post for us, Arno Knobbe (@legoarno on Instagram) returns today to explain more core building techniques for sending your models off the rectilinear grid.
In my previous post, I discussed a classic LEGO® technique for building at an angle, the rectangle trick, and its relation to the "sugar grid", a concept recently introduced on the Brick Sculpt YouTube channel. In this article, we’ll look into another mainstay of LEGO building techniques, reflected wedges. I’ll investigate some parallels between this technique and the sugar grid as well.

The movie and its characters have become icons, and many LEGO® sets have been inspired by it. So far, all of these sets are either aimed at children in the LEGO® Disney Princess theme, LEGO® Brickheadz, or references in other sets like 43226 Disney Duos.
Now, for the first time, an 18+ set fully dedicated to the movie is being released: 43263 Beauty and the Beast Castle. Will it be as impressive as the original? Be our guest, and join us in exploring the mysterious castle and all its secrets.

Review: 31215 Vincent van Gogh – Sunflowers from LEGO® Art
LEGO® Art has been a polarising theme among the generally praised 18+ sets. So far, only a small minority of the theme's 20 sets have been versions of well-known works of art – and of those, most have been pop art pieces or logos easily transferred into the plastic material and the well-defined colour charts of LEGO bricks. The most interesting departure so far has been 31213 Mona Lisa, reviewed by Jonas Kramm last September and, outside the LEGO Art theme, LEGO® Ideas 21333 Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night which I had pleasure to review in 2022. It's still my favourite set.
Whereas the bold blues of van Gogh's palette transformed delightfully into bricks, da Vinci's Renaissance idiom of thin, light layers resulted in a larger divergence from the original. The project was ambitious but the reception was mixed.
I wonder if the good performance of the Starry Night made the designers look back to van Gogh and produce 31215 Vincent van Gogh – Sunflowers: he sure is an admired artist, but getting two among the very small number of painting-in-LEGO sets is not a small feat. With a quick look, the set seems to be very close to the original painting – but we'll have more than a quick one.

LEGO® Botanicals just keep on... growing! But in a way, they are also shrinking.
Just revealed now on LEGO.com, 10347 Petite Sunny Bouquet is a smaller floral arrangement being released on 1 May 2025. Pick a Brick USA & Canada: Standard elements are back
The LEGO® Pick a Brick service have re-opened their "Standard" service in North America and over 12,000 elements have returned. Only "Bestseller" elements have been available since the service was closed in December 2024.
This is a step towards things getting back to normal with Pick a Brick, what with the ongoing warehouse issues and poor customer communication on late 2024 orders that have left many customers frustrated and angry. However, in a new development for 2025, maximum order quantities have been placed on many items – read on for details.
