77240 Bugatti Centodieci Hyper Sports Car

New hubcaps 6824a & 6824b

These seven-spoked hubcaps in flat silver (6548198) are the only new moulds in the set.

Four of each arrive bagged together and, while they may appear identical at first glance, come in clockwise (6824a) and anti-clockwise varieties.

Recoloured and rare elements

The set is fairly light on exclusive and rare recolours.

Exclusive recolours (shown above left):

  • 1 x Tile 1 x 4 with Groove in Trans-Black (6559510 | 35371)
  • 4 x  Weapon Spike Flexible 3.5L in White (6554436 | 64727)

Parts that appear in 2 other sets or less (above right):

  • 2 x Bracket 1 x 6 - 2 x 6 Inverted in White (6506629 | 5090)

  • 2 x Tile Special 1 x 2 Diamond Plain in Black (6490944 | 35649)

Decorations

An additional exclusive recolour is lurking among the decorated elements, along with some more 1x4 trans-black tiles:

Black

  • 1 x +1 spare Tile 1 x 1 with Grill on Edge print (6554279 | 114271)

Stickers

A sizeable, clear-backed sticker sheet is used for the remaining decorations. They range from essential details like tail-lights (stickers 6, 7 & 8) and side vents (10,13) to less-vital contouring (14,16,19).

Minifigure

The driver sports a Bugatti-branded torso which has a pretty snazzy print on the back (6564186 | 76382).

The build

77240 Bugatti Centodieci Hyper Sports Car is intricate compared to other themes, but is fairly middle-of-the-road build by LEGO Speed Champions standards. Then again, there's no need to overcomplicate things for the sake of it, and nevertheless, the construction has a few highlights.

Placing both sets of road signs (triangular and square) was very satisfying. The angle of the latter is set neatly by an ingot and 2x4 curved slope. Ensuring each flexible spike is level at the nose of the car was a bit fiddly, but the effect is well worth the effort. They're capped by some hinge plates that achieve the super-subtle taper of the bonnet.

As an aside, I find it hilarious how hidden the printed 'BUGATTI' 1x4 tile ends up. Can you spot it, tucked under the rear spoiler?

Considering what's achievable in brick form, I can't fault the design shape-wise. I really like the black cut-outs on the lower edge of the 'doors'. They're not too complex, but they're a nice break from the white, and makes the use of different mudguard elements front and back less apparent.

The prints are a bit of a mixed bag. Some, like the headlights, flow convincingly across multiple parts with minimal gaps. Others, such as the insipid white triangles on the rear window, or the the trio that should make a seamless black cut-out in-front of the windshield (shown top left above), are less successful.

It's unfortunate because the intent and placement of each print is well considered, but the colour matching and the limitations in print coverage just doesn't quite match the vision in all cases.

Despite my print grumblings, I'm still satisfied with the model; It was fun to assemble and has a nice selection of useful parts, but it's also not the stand-out or must-build of the wave for me.

As a vibrant dual-car set, this one has far more to offer parts-wise, so buckle up: there are many lists incoming!

Exclusive recolours

An exclusive carrot stem? In a LEGO Speed Champions set? Madness. I'm thrilled to see the orange road sign though – that's such a useful element for intricate building – so the more colours the better, I say!

  • 4 x Wheel Covers 9 Spoke, No Rim in Black (6825b | 6508995)

Orange

  • 1 x Tile 1 x 2 with Stud Notch with Dark Azure Triangle Print Left (6548238 | 113644) and Right (6548234 | 113640)
  • 1 x Tile 2 x 3 with Lamborghini Badge print (6548243 | 113649)
  • 1 x Slope 33° 2 x 4 Double with Grey Triangle print Left (6548248 | 113654) and Right (6548247 | 113653)
  • 1 x Wedge Sloped 2 x 5 with Air Vent print Left (6567946 | 114621) and Right (6567947 | 114622)

Another pair of prints that caught my eye were the dark azure cheese slopes. Placed back to back, they reminded me of...

...a Stormtrooper! Or maybe it's a Bionicle? Hmmm. This quick mock-up doesn't quite live up to the refined bust I had imagined when I first spied these cheese slope prints, but it'll do. Sadly, even though you'd think they're small enough to qualify, there are no spares for these printed cheese in the set.

Stickers

There's some serious size disparity between the two sticker sheets, but as the Revuelto (the orange one) uses more printed elements, each vehicle ends up with a similar level of detail.

Minifigures

Well, one of us is going to have to change!
These two may have outfit coordination worthy of a bad sitcom joke, but at least they're rocking different exclusive torsos (left 6565377 and right 6565374).

Lamborghini Revuelto

The build for the Revuelto starts off with the standard LEGO Speed Champions chassis element, but becomes increasingly intricate as the car takes shape.

Some noteworthy parts uage are the aforementioned carrot tops (33183) for tail lights and stud launchers (69754) for exhausts.

I have detached a couple of techniques from the busy core of the build so they can be better appreciated:
  • Above top right: the offset of some brackets to accommodate the 2x2x2 slopes.
  • Above bottom right: more clever bracket positioning, this time using a stack of 1x1 round plates and clips mounted on a 1x2 curved brick with vertical bars (77808).

The same 1x2 bricks with bars are used to position the headlights. Note the ever-so-slight taper to these sub-assemblies made possible by the void in the centre line of the 1x2 bricks with bars.

During the build you can choose between orange or black 'aerodynamic door fins' and wing mirrors – represented by some modified tiles. My preference is the orange since it better disguises the straight edge of the front wheel arch, but others may prefer the 'carbon fibre' look.

Nearby, we see the printed triangular road sign in-situ. Unfortunately, the print opacity isn't a convincing match to the sounding orange plastic and I'm left wondering if a sticker would've been preferable – especially as it's the element's first outing in trans-clear, and it would be nice to have an unprinted version available.

The completed Revuelto has a few jagged edges, but the complexity of the real car's shaping has been approximated well. My eye is constantly drawn to the nose – the angled bonnet converging with the cleavers, silhouetted against black is such a cool look.

Overall, a great build from start to finish.

Huracán STO

The construction of the Huracán is less eventful, at least until the later stages when the nose and tail take shape.

There is a fun nod to the car's Italian origins during the basic plate stacking phase.

As parts usage goes, the use of the recoloured 1x6 train wagon fence (58494) for the rear is pretty good. It forms the core of a fun sub-assembly where bits and pieces are threaded through the fence's open spaces.

A 1x2 plate with horizontal bar connects the assembly to the main build which, many steps later, is also used to mount the central fin. The nearby engine detailing was fun to assemble, but is covered by the end of the build.

The orange trim at the front of the car is achieved with a 1x3 panel, flowing into road signs then finally to some upside-down 1x2 tiles with 45° cuts – very nice!

Since a decent chunk of the Huracán STO is built studs-up, it both looks and feels more solid than the Revuelto. The two-plate offset between the front and rear wheels is pretty glaring from the side, with the lines clearly nonparallel to the ground, but is far less apparent from other angles.

Once again, the nose of the vehicle is my favourite section. Not only are the techniques impressive, but that killer colour-combo of blue, orange and black shines especially brightly here.

Closing thoughts

Certain decorated elements (stickered and printed) remain the crux of my nit-picking. Sometimes the plastic and print colours don't quite match; other times the choice to use a print instead of a sticker is puzzling. The design and quality control teams are undoubtedly aware of these issues, so hopefully production limitations will improve with – or, where necessary, dial back – the wonderfully ambitious use of decorations we love to see.

Having built most of the 2025 LEGO Speed Champions sets (some for review, others purchased for my own enjoyment), I'm happy to report the theme hasn't lost it's flair for delivering high-quality builds at an accessible price point. I can't wait to see what else the team have in the works for 2026!
