2019 Parts Fest #2: Pierre-E Fieschi's sci-fi containers and launch pad

Posted by Elspeth De Montes
Our next Parts Festival participant is Pierre-E Fieschi, a concept artist and architect from France who is also well-known in the LEGO® community for his unique, futuristic vehicles and SHIPs (Seriously Huge Investment in Parts - a spaceship that is at least 100 studs in length, often made for SHIPtember).

SCI-FI CONTAINERS

The Brick 1X6X4 1/3, W/ 4.85 Hole, No. 1 in Dark Stone Grey/ Dark Bluish Gray (49699|6263879) immediately caught my eye and I thought 'space containers'!

So that's how this first little build happened. The 2x2 round tiles with fan texture included in Mini Accessory, No. 10 in Silver Metallic/ Flat Silver (40598 | 6266155) look fantastic for making high tech greebles or in the case, a refrigerated container!

LAUNCHPAD TOWER

I really couldn't stop playing with all these metallic parts. I've had this tower lattice assembly sitting on my desk in the tablescrap box.

The small inverted domes from Mini Accessory, No. 11 in Silver Metallic (50018 | 6266977) looked perfect for a rocket booster thruster exhaust... and the comms array as well!

The rest came together after that. I'm really liking the new giant white slopes (Roof Tile 1x8x3 Deg 25 No 1 in White – 49618 |6262530) and cannot wait to use them on something which focuses on them a bit better!
