  2. I'm not very happy about this, as a professional MOC designer this just makes my life a lot harder. These pieces are not even that old in a certain type or color either. it takes weeks for me to even be 100% certain that I didnt miss out anything in a pick-a-brick order, and now that ive almost finished doing one they decide to retire a load of stuff!!!

    1. But this is not the first time LEGO has done this, LEGO cannot keep parts in stock in perpetuity. Im guessing they have been rotating parts out of stock for at least as long as PaB and direct parts purchases have been available. They have always removed parts from being able to purchase once those sets they are in are retired. Its just now that LEGO is apparently letting orgs know and they are are being able to note what is going away for people to plan (vs what was done previously which is they just disappear from being available with little or no fanfare). So I would say be grateful instead of 'not happy'. Thanks for the list and more importantly the direct links to PaB to order those parts, NewElementary!

  3. Wait is that right, the LEGO Technic friction pin, the most common piece of all time, is retiring from PaB??

    1. It's already been supplanted by 6279875. So, there will still be Technic pins with friction available to purchase!

  4. This is great information as always. Some of the more popular pieces have already been replaced.

  5. Well, crud. I had the purple airtanks and purple helmets in my in-progress parts order, but now the airtanks are out of stock. :-(

…and now Lego.com is giving me grief and seems to have dumped my 1500-part order instead of putting it into my cart.

    1. Good news: order went through after all.

Bad news: no purple airtanks for me, and missed a couple other parts that are now out of stock and a couple more that I overlooked in my haste. Oh well, I'll survive, but I'm not looking forward to paying Bricklink prices for those airtanks.

    3. Thanks! I saw that last night and ordered them.

I realized a couple days ago when I tried and failed to get them that what appears to be happening is they're restocking at the beginning of the day...in Denmark. So by the time I check in my morning, they're out, but if I stay up a little late I can catch them. And it worked!

  7. Would it be possible to keep that information around somewhere? Perhaps on a post that serves as a "Parts Removed" archive of sorts? This was the best, most accessible list of parts taken down on the 17th around, and I can see that info being something useful for fans to have as reference going forward.

  8. Yes, for what it's worth, I would be grateful to have that list of removed items around for future reference.

    1. Agree it would be good to retain the information, especially as the frontpage update links here and it's essentially 404'd

  9. About 5000 parts just went out of stock without notice.
