This is based upon the winning fan design by Maxime (Jagamax) in a 2024 LEGO Ideas contest, Build the Gift of Purchase Set of your Dreams. The final set has remained largely faithful to the fan design, with a large black base, a log, two snails and assorted greenery.
Printed parts
The set comes with two pairs of exclusive printed dishes: 2x Dish 4 x 4 in Dark Blue with Tan Spirals print, and 2x Dish 6 x 6 in Dark Orange with Tan Spirals print. These are wonderful designs with many other potential uses.
Two other printed elements proposed in the fan design were not included: a 1 x 8 tile with the name of the set, and the spotted print on the mushroom dish. The latter went out of production in 2014, and is greatly missed!
Is this a GwP you're going to buy?

Here's another LEGO Ideas contest winner! Enchanting Noodle submitted this to the Exploring the Cosmos challenge and, come July, LEGO Insiders will be able to receive it by spending 2,500 points, while stocks last. The other winner in the same contest was 40786 Micro Command Centre, which already became an LEGO Insiders Reward this year.
As is usual, the process if you request it is that you receive a promo code for it, redeemable with your next purchase on LEGO.com. The promo code is only valid for 60 days, so you'll need to remind yourself to buy something else! Keep in mind also that you can only use one promo code per order on LEGO.com.
It is a generously wide design with detail in the crater surface achieved with sideways building. The bubble helmets, the flames shooting from the exhaust and the wacky inclusion of a space lamppost give this set a really comical vibe. It makes me think "The Jetsons in a Landspeeder", and there is an obvious vintage American car feel to this craft. And as a Classic Space fan I'm reminded of the famous crater plate, set 891 Two Seater Space Scooter, and the endless usage of big yellow arrows!
The inclusion of two minifigures is a thrill, and they feature the LEGO® City astronaut torsos from last year with two colours of arm – bright light orange and bright green.
