Reveal: 76339 The Fantastic Four H.E.R.B.I.E. from LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes

Hooray, cute LEGO® robot! H.E.R.B.I.E. was introduced to The Fantastic Four comics in 1978, but has enjoyed refreshed popularity in the 2025 Marvel movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps. So much so that in August 2026, LEGO® Super Heroes will release set 76339 H.E.R.B.I.E. Let's take a look at the model and some of the new pieces we've spotted in the images.

Before we play spot the recolour, let's check out the model. 


The 747 LEGO parts build a white and dark azure robot 9 inches (23cm) tall and 6 inches (15cm) wide.


His tape-spool eyes rotate when his head is turned! Would have been funny to include replacement tape spools.



The arms are poseable and of course those claws are too, and he comes with his trusty screwdriver – a realistic little build using the harpoon (18041).



He also comes with his dark blue mug. Whoops, silly Herbie! Luckily he can store both accessories behind a panel in his tummy. Liquid not included.



The price of US$74.99/ £59.99/ 69.99€/ AU$119.99 gives a price per piece (PPP) of US 10¢/ GB 8p/ € 9.4/ AU 16¢. The lack of minifigure helps here, but this still feels relatively low compared to the PPP in recent years. To check, I looked at other 2026 LEGO Marvel sets as well as 2025, and there seems to have been an overall drop in PPP in this theme this year, but of course PPP is far from the best metric to reflect value.

The only other LEGO Marvel set I could find from from recent years that is comparable in terms of PPP, overall piece count and lack of minifigure is 76223 Nano Gauntlet, all the way back in 2022. Given there are some nice pieces in this model, this set could prove a decent parts pack.


If you are unfamiliar with the source material, here are some Herbie clips from the movie. I think they've done a great job with the proportions.



The instructions also will be available on the LEGO® Builder app, where you can zoom in on the model and rotate it in 3D. 


New pieces

Eagle-eyed Eero spotted a new mould.


These must be yet another curved brick: a 1x3x1 with two corners and no studs, placed sideways. This introduction grates a little because it certainly looks like a POOP – you could make it out of the existing curved 1x1 and two curved 1x1 corner pieces – however, you could not attach those 3 pieces in this situation because the two corners are sitting on 1x1 quarter tiles. You can tell this because there's no visible stud in the stud notch of the new brick. 


Meanwhile, it was the adorable dark blue mug that caught my attention.


The piece that makes the unusual base stumped me but Eero of course came to my assistance: it is the 3 x 3 Helmet, Disk/Pan Shape with Stud on Front (3221) from 2023 LEGO® NINJAGO® sets, where it came in black and pearl gold. This is its first recolour since then.

The cylinder of the mug is Brick Round 3 x 3 x 2 Recessed Center with 2 x 2 Studs (73111) and the handle is Bar, U-Shape 2 x 3 (7052), both of which have appeared in dark blue previously. The handle must only connect to the base, so I hope that pan hat thing has good clutch.


Kev spotted another part getting its first recolour outside of its original theme...


This is Dome Hemisphere 7 x 7 with 2 Technic Pin Holes (1974) from the capsule in LEGO® Sonic The Hedgehog™, now in the very useful colour black. 



It can be hard to tell with these promotional images but Herbie's hands look like dark grey recolours of Animal / Creature Body Part, Claw with Clip (3171), however they might just be the existing flat silver version.

    It's a slight shame they chose to make that curved slope 1x3 part rather than use the existing slopes which are 4 plates high (which would have worked?) or even use the newish shorter versions with a new 1x1 corner curved plate - a few more versatile new part IMHO!

    i wish they would just make quarter- and half-circle plates already. why so much resistance to doing so as to go so far as to make a POOP instead?

    Nice analysis! My brain was buzzing trying to spot all the interesting parts when I saw this set but you completely beat me to the punch on every one!

    To be honest, I don't really consider POOPs to be a serious problem, especially when, like this, they are a combination of parts that only have one connection point each. Having bigger parts that can connect in more spots is genuinely useful, especially on smaller builds or more complex assemblies where you might not have room to effectively lock all those together otherwise. Add in the fact that larger curved parts like this can be great candidates for printed decorations and I could see this piece being similarly useful to the existing 1x4 version.

    The recolor of the Imperium Guard helmet is a nice surprise! That was such an interesting piece in its debut and I had hoped to see it see more use outside of being a minifigure accessory, but it largely didn't save for its clever use as a frying pan decoration in Ninjago City Markets. This use as the base of a mug is equally clever and maybe now that it's back in production there's another chance for other sets to make creative uses of it.

    Are the new concave 1x1 corner cheese slopes in light bluish gray a recolor for this set?
