Exclusive Bright Light Blue parts

The set may be getting close to a year old now, but it offers an astonishing quantity of pieces that remain exclusive to this set – all in Bright Light Blue/ Light Royal Blue, if you exclude the printed/minifigure elements. Not since LEGO Icons® set 10298 Vespa 125 has there been such a delightful Bright Light Blue parts pack!

Of course, many of these "exclusive" elements are available on LEGO Pick a Brick; we've included links to each of them below, but of course they might not be available in your country right now.

Of course these are just the exclusive Bright Light Blue elements – there are another 10 that have only appeared in one or two other sets.

Now let's see which ones Moko chose to explore.

LEGO sphere

There are lots of curvy sloped elements to be found in 76414 Expecto Patronum. Slope, Curved 3 x 3 Corner Round (76797) is the one that caught Moko's eye. You get 8, and set 10298 Vespa 125 has 6.

Eight of these elements are included in the set – not enough even for half a sphere, so Moko supplemented them with bricks from his own collection. The result is a very satisfying ball.

Moko kindly provided us with a breakdown too!

The sphere's perfectly round exterior belies a rather blocky interior. Moko has neatly filled the gaps between the round surfaces on each corner of the cube with Road Sign 2 x 2 Triangle with Open O Clip (65676).

Coffee cup

Another curvy part that inspired Moko was Brick Round 1 x 1 diameter Tube with 90 Degree Elbow (2 x 2 x 1) and Axle Holes (Crossholes) at each end (6383101 | 25214).

It makes the perfect handle for a coffee cup.

Moko used Animal Body Part, Horn (13564) and Animal Body Part / Plant, Tail / Vine Curled with Bar (1997) to create the steam effect. The latter is a spare part from his alternate model of 71457 Pegasus Flying Horse
