New moulds review: LEGO® Friends January 2026 sets

Posted by Elspeth De Montes

The January 2026 wave of LEGO® Friends sets were revealed in early December 2025, and there's a lot of sets to look through.  We have already taken a look at some recolours in our article covering the New colours for 2026: 431 Blue Violet and 430 Warm Pink.

Now I will focus on all the new moulds included in the new sets including the animals and accessories, and a second post will look at all the recolours and new prints. A few of the new moulds are also found in other themes released on 1 January.

LEGO® City January 2026: overview and all recolours

Posted by Thomas Jenkins

Happy new year; happy new elements!

Earlier this month Tim provided us with a tantalizing preview of all the new elements coming in the January 2026 LEGO® City sets along with insight from Design Manager, Christopher Leslie Stamp. We now have the entire wave of 17 core sets for a hands-on review (excluding the somewhat incongruous Rides subtheme). We'll examine the new moulds more closely in a future article, but in the meantime, there are plenty of recoloured parts to explore.

Best LEGO® parts of 2025

Posted by Thomas Jenkins

The end of the year is always a chance to look back – and at New Elementary, that means digging through the parts bins of 2025 to find the highlights. This year The LEGO Group gave us no shortage of interesting new moulds: just over 400 by our reckoning; or about 340 if you exclude foils, cloth and electronics.

And so, in no particular order, let’s celebrate the ones that caught our eye (and our builds), with links for you to learn a bit more about each of them via the awesome New Elementary team, who have invested so much time investigating them for you in 2025!

However, one of the ones not pictured above is rare, having never appeared in a commercially available set – read on for details.

Parts review: June 2025 LEGO® Friends sets

Posted by tobymac

Summer is coming to the Northern Hemisphere, and Heartlake City continues to grow with another wave of sets. With 13 products, the range coming on 1 June 2025 is a fair bit smaller than January's, which featured 20, but that won't diminish the quality of the models, or of course the new elements they bring – and there's even a new color.

a wide selection of new pieces from Friends Lego sets for June 2025

As with the previous waves, I’ve opened up all the boxes we received for review – 11 of the 13 sets – and dug through them to bring you an overview of all the new elements these bring us, before building the featured models in later articles.
