Recoloured elements

There are no new moulds in this set, but considering it has a fairly modest piece count, there are quite a few unique recolours to be found.

It's nice to see this LEGO® Botanicals piece used in a different way.

  • 1x Cone 4x4x2, Axle Hole [Plain] in Red (6606104 | 3943b)

  • 2x Slope Curved 3x2 Beveled with Stud Notch Left in Bright Pink (6610092 | 6822)

Brick Arch 1x3x2, Straight End (5850) was only just introduced in January 2026. Elspeth did a comprehensive geometrical analysis of LEGO part 5850 in her review of 21363 The Goonies.

Rare and returning parts

The following elements have been seen in just one other set to date:

These elements have been seen in two other sets:
  • 2x Slope Curved 3x1 No Studs in Dark Pink (6610090 | 50950) – last seen in 2017, now with a new Element ID
  • 4x Brick Round Corner, Curved 2x2x1 2/3 Quarter Dome with 1 Cutout in Bright Red/Red (6547138 | 5906)
  • 2x Wedge Curved 4x3 No Studs [Plain] in Dark Pink (6585075 | 64225)
  • 1x Panel 1x2x3 [Side Supports/Hollow Studs] in Medium Azure (6550951 | 87544)
  • 2x Panel 1x4x3 [Side Supports/Hollow Studs] in Earth Green/Dark Green (6587803 | 60581)
  • 2x Plate 1x1x 2/3 Half Round with Side Stud in Reddish Brown (6585083 | 3386)
  • 4x Bracket 1x1 - 1x1 Inverted in Dark Pink (6553406 | 36840)
  • 4x Technic Pin Connector Round [Slotted] in Bright Pink  (6543497 | 29219)
  • 4x Bracket 1x1 - 1x2 Inverted in Bright Pink (6534774 | 73825)
  • 8x Brick Round Corner, Curved 2x2x 2/3 Quarter Circle in  Bright Light Blue (6590664 | 5852)
  • 1x Brick Special 1x2x1 2/3 with 4 Studs on 1 Side in Dark Azure (6562690 | 22885)

Prints

The face prints for big Piglet along with the head and torso of minifigure Piglet are all new:
  • 1x Slope Curved 4x2 Double with print in Bright Pink (6597294)
  • 1x Slope Curved 2x2x 2/3 with print in Bright Pink (6597295)
  • 1x Head, Piglet in Bright Pink (6609989)
  • 1x Torso with print in Dark Pink (6610037)

Even though the Element IDs are new for the minifigure pieces, they do look very similar to the Piglet minifigure in the 2021 LEGO® Ideas set 21326 Winnie the Pooh. I don't have one of those for a side by side comparison, unfortunately.

The finished model

The finished set provides us with two attractive display pieces: the cake and, of course, Piglet himself, holding a red balloon and wearing a blue party hat. His arms, wrists and ankles are poseable so that you can alter how he stands a little bit – but beware, that big balloon is quite heavy and may cause the figure to overbalance in certain poses.

The external panels of the cake can be a bit repetitive to build but they look good once finished.

If you take the little candle off the top, the cake opens up to reveal two interior scenes:

It's a great place for little Piglet to hang out. There is a stove, honeypot and drawers with a few glass jars on one side. Let's just pretend I didn't put one of the stickers on upside down, shall we? Unfortunately, as it is recessed inside a panel it's very difficult to remove without wrecking the sticker, so I thought I would just leave it be.

The other side represents an exterior scene with drooping willow-like leaves hanging from two trunks, along with some dark red flowers on the ground. There's a couple of jumpers for the Piglet minifigure to stand on, where he can remain even when the cake is closed up.

In general, the main Piglet figure has good proportions and his rounded belly is represented well by the various curved slopes used. There is one aspect of the character that I'm not so keen on though.

Big Piglet looks fine face-on, but as soon as he turns slightly to profile or is seen from either side, there's a rather abrupt step above his nose which I feel looks rather ugly. I think it is because the step is completely flat and the sharp transition from his curvy cheeks is very jarring. I do think the use of the leaf/petal elements are perfect for his ears, however.

Minifigure Habitat MOC inspired by set 43305

As many of you know, I'm a big fan of the Minifigure Habitat format and I thought that bits of the cake had some nice details which could be used to build Piglet his own habitat. I managed to incorporate two panels from the outside of the cake and the interior shelves and stove. I found him a new balloon, along with a fork. That cake looks very tasty!

I haven't yet decided what I will use the rest of the parts to create, but I'm sure they will prove useful in the future.

Conclusion

At US$39.99/ £34.99/ 39.99€, this set is towards the budget end of the spectrum compared to Piglet's friend 43300 Winnie The Pooh (which I will also be reviewing soon). Piglet has a very respectable price per part of 7.4c ($/€) or 6.4p.

There is a good selection of unique recolours and rare parts included, although the predominance of pinks might not be to every builder's taste. I enjoyed the build overall and think it would make a great gift to any child who is a fan of A. A. Milne's timeless characters.

  1. Nice review!

This set is great. It has a diorama, a buildable figure with props, and even seems roughly to scale with the bigger Winnie the Pooh set (while being a lower age grade, making the two perfect for a parent and kid to build together).

Macaroni tubes in pink always remind me of a cartoon brain—with more sizes available now I'd love to see an attempt at that using those sorts of pieces.
