Waffles' MOCs: Pick a Brick to resume in North America

Posted by Admin

The LEGO® Pick a Brick (PaB) Standard service is coming back to the USA and Canada! Tomorrow, Monday 17 November 2025, the wide range of LEGO parts returns – including the new pieces that were added in other countries during October and November.

To celebrate, we have some awesome MOCs to show you, created by guest builder Mansur "Waffles" Soeleman (@lamborghiniwafflesauce on Instagram) using pieces that were added to the European PaB site in October, so should be available in North America tomorrow.

The return of USA & Canada Pick a Brick

The LEGO Pick a Brick team say, "You’ll see elements being added throughout the day as the service comes back online, with full availability expected around midday EST. Thanks for your patience—we can’t wait for you to dive back in and explore all the building possibilities!"

You can either watch the site during the morning of 17 November, or wait for our announcement post that will list all the new elements available with direct links to purchase. If you'd rather be prepared, take a look now through our lists of pieces that were added during the shutdown, and make a note of all the Element IDs you desire so you can search PaB for them on Monday.

To get you inspired, we asked friend-of-the-blog Mansur "Waffles" Soeleman to use some of the October elements in his own creations. Over to Waffles, to see what he came up with!

Waffles' MOCs using new Pick a Brick parts

At Skaerbaek Fan Weekend in Denmark, I managed to get hold of some of parts due to be uploaded to Pick a Brick in October, with the kind help of the LEGO Pick a Brick team who were attending, and Jonas Kramm of StoneWars. Thanks so much!

I was not sure what to expect, since it is hard to remember what pieces were new a few months after the release of the sets they come from. The October upload included bricks from sets released in May through August 2025. Jonas handed me a bunch of mostly LEGO® Technic parts.

  • Not pictured in this parts lineup is a pair of teal Technic Panel Curved 3 x 5 x 3 (24116), which I used in one of my models

The parts Jonas gave me included teal ones from set 42208 Aston Martin Valkyrie, and some vaguely greebly and space-y bits, and he told me to “cook.”

After almost a month of trying to degrease my stovetop, I realised that the white bricks have yellowed, and that I could not find a single use for the glow-in-the-dark-white forked light with Technic axle (7514) from the 42214 Lamborghini Revuelto Super Sports Car (read TobyMac's review of set 42214).

I decided to start building with some other parts, namely the orange LEGO Technic “basketballs” (6564706) from 43010 Nike Slam Dunk, and some other bits.

LEGO podracer

I’m a sucker for round things with greebles, such as spaceship engines. Naturally that’s my go-to when building something I know by heart.

The half-basketball piece was good colourful highlight in an otherwise grey structure, and provided some interesting hemispherical shaping to break up the various cylinders.

Due to their interesting angles, I also decided to utilise the light grey “A-pillar” pieces (5429) as podracer cables. The pod cockpit was completed using the new Wedge Sloped 45° 6 x 4 Double / 33° [Train Roof] in Dark Bluish Gray (6552220 | 4365) from 76300 Arkham Asylum.

LEGO corn popper

For my second build, I tried my best to resist the temptation to build another flying swooshing thing with the other round bit I received, the transparent 5x5 hemisphere (7347) from 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine

After some failed attempts at a microscale moonbase, I remembered the wheeled toddler toy called corn poppers that have bouncing marbles inside a transparent dome.

I also decided to use another new LEGO Technic piece, the 1x3 with 2 pin holes and central axle hole in light grey (7229) as a trigger to make the balls “pop” with a rubber band, but sadly the mechanism did not work as I intended. Still, I did use new recolours of the "Bionicle ball" piece in tan and light grey, as well as the 3x11 Technic panel in light grey.

LEGO minotaur

Finally, I managed to find a use for those ungodly Lamborghini light pieces: antlers.

As I could not build a reindeer around these two pieces, I instead went with something more fantastical. Behold, the mighty teal minotaur!

It’s not exactly the most realistic horn shape that a minotaur should have, but this may come as a shock to most people: minotaurs aren’t real. I’m very disappointed by this news.

I also managed to use the various new teal Technic panels in the 42208 Aston Martin Valkyrie as armour for this mythical beast, as well as the teal 90° axle connector, and the new #7 Technic connector which was recently recoloured to light grey.

  1. Great mocs and exciting news! Did the Pick a Brick team mention what their solution to the North America situation is going to be?
