Review: 10374 Bouquet of Pink Roses from LEGO® Botanicals

Not every set features new moulds. Fortunately, here at New Elementary, we also like recoloured pieces. 

Today we have LEGO® Botanicals 10374 Bouquet of Pink Roses for review, which is basically a recolour of the massively successful 10328 Bouquet of Roses (you can read my review of set 10328 from last year).  This set is pink instead of bright red. There are a couple of other changes, but no big surprises. Are they running out of good ideas, or is this pink counterpart actually worth getting?

Interesting elements

Recolours

Recoloured parts of a recoloured set. Many of them are the same as in the red bouquet, only bright or dark pink instead of red. Naturally, the dark and sand green recolours from 10328 Bouquet of Roses are not new anymore. 

• 16x Slope Curved 4 x 5 x 1 2/3 in Bright Pink (6568112 | 85834, 4898)

Interestingly, all of the outer petal parts premiered as buildable figure pieces. Curved slope 4 x 5 x 1⅔ is the most robust of them; originally the face plate and shoulder armour from the retired set 76206 Iron Man Figure (see our review of set 76206 by Thomas Jenkins).

• 8x Brick Special 2 x 5 with Slope, Studs on Side in Bright Pink (6568114 | 79897)
• 8x Wedge Curved 2 x 3 x 2/3 Two Studs, Wing End in Bright Pink (6568116 | 47456)

These have similar geometry, but 47456 originated in LEGO® Castle Knights Kingdom II sets from 2004, and 79897 from the LEGO® NINJAGO® EVO line in 2021 (overiew of new EVO parts by Áron Gerencsér). I'm happy to have them in bright pink, finally. 

• 4x Equipment Whip [Coiled] in Dark Pink (6570100 | 61975)
• 8x Plate Special 1 x 2 [Side Handle Closed Ends] in Bright Pink (6568115 | 48336)

The whip is obviously new, but I was surprised to see that the handle plate has not appeared in bright pink before.

Rare parts

• 24x Large Figure Shoulder Cover, Armor, Round, Smooth with Bar in Bright Pink (6517933 | 1686) – new for 2025, previously in 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet (see my review of set 10342)

Due to the connection points on the edge, this piece can be overlaid easily, creating beautiful shapes and patterns. I'm excited to use these 24 in addition to the 8 I have from the Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet. Only, I wonder if having two pink bouquets in the same year causes any consumer confusion?

• 16x Plate Special 2 x 2 x 2/3 with Two Studs On Side and Two Raised - Updated Version in Bright Pink (6470181 | 4304) – previously in 21257 The Devourer Showdown (read our review of set 21257 by Elspeth)

This is one of my favourite SNOT parts, allowing sideways connections while having sturdy connection points.

• 16x Wheel Arch, Mudguard 2 x 3 x 1 1/3 with 2 x 2 Plate in Bright Pink (6517912 | 49097) – in 2 other sets

The mudguards are perfect for the inner petals of roses. This is another rare part that has previously appeared in LEGO Botanicals.

• 16x Wheel Arch, Mudguard 2 x 3 x 1 1/3 with 2 x 2 Plate in Dark Pink (6518735 | 49097) – in 2 other sets
• 4x Brick Round 2 x 2 Dome Bottom [Open Stud] in Light Nougat (6525767 | 15395) – new in 2025, previously in 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet

The dark pink one didn't premiere in a LEGO Botanicals set, but on a similarly (but more crudely) constructed rose nonetheless: the dark pink one in 75683 Glinda & Elphaba's Dormitory in 2024.

The bouquet

The final build is similar to the red bouquet, but fresher and less rich in colour. The blossoms are not monochrome as they feature some dark pink within the dominating bright pink. Some baby's breaths complement the pink roses. It looks gorgeous.

The bouquet fits my standard vase (a water jug actually) quite well. It's easier to display than some of the smaller bouquets. Bright pink looks great with dark green.

Like the red bouquet, there are three types of rose blossoms, with four of each: slender ones, round ones and partially opened ones with whips in the centre. They create a dynamic composition.

The differences are in the round blossoms, and this results in the thorn in our bed of roses: this pink bouquet has 789 parts, while the red one has 822. A drop in value, if you're a MOC builder looking for parts.  

The outer petals of the new-style blossom are simply connected to Technic Pin Connector Round with 4 Clips (90202, 49756).  The older design uses Technic Axle Connector Hub with 4 Bars at 90° (68888), plus eight 1x2 round plates (35480), plus eight 1x1 tile with clip (15712) in each blossom. 

At first I was unhappy with the loss, because the dark red 1x2 round plates proved themselves very useful. The older, red rose is more closed and somehow aerodynamic. But on the other hand, the re-designed blossom looks more like the usual depiction of a rose, so most people buying this set would be, I believe, content with the change. (Our editor, Tim thinks that most readers have no idea what I'm talking about if I say the Platonic Idea of a Rose, and he's likely right. But that's what it is.) 

Furthermore, the centre uses the new-ish peony rose (5904) nestled inside a light nougat 2 x 2 dome (15395), a little change that makes the whole set more polychromatic. 

The other blossoms are identical to the ones in the Pretty Pink Bouquet released in January.

Conclusion

While not technically exciting any more, 10374 Bouquet of Pink Roses is a well-designed, beautiful and solid set. The price of US$59.99/ £54.99/ 59.99€/ AU$99.99 for 729 parts is great value, and there are several recolours – and in useful quantities for MOC builders. 

I'll leave the choice between red and pink to the readers. If LEGO Botanicals set designers are listening, I'd like a bright light orange one next please!
