Lego Star Wars 40765 Kamino Training Facility – GWP review

Build a Clone army and prepare it for battle at the Kamino Training Facility with this Star Wars: Attack of the Clones™ adventure building set – the first one ever to include LEGO® Star Wars™ minifigures of Clone Cadets – 3 of them!

Review by Tom Loftus

front and side views of the exclusive Clone Cadets minifig

As the torso with arm printing (6547115) is the only exclusive element, the three clone cadet minifigures are easily the highlight of the set. Hopefully at least one will show up elsewhere because it would be a shame for such a multipliable figure to appear only in a GwP.

3 views of the KE-8 Enforcer Lego ship: front view, view with canopy open and minifig inside, and rear view

The main model is a *checks notes* KE-8 Enforcer – one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it type of ship – seen hovering around on Kamino in Star Wars: Episode 2 Attack of the Clones

There's nothing too exciting to report build-wise, but the result is neat looking ship. It's extreme verticality is pretty unique compared to most other Star Wars craft.

A weapons rack and simple blaster tower are also included. Your imagination will have to do some heavy lifting to fill in the remainder of the facility but the builds that are present provide enough play-potential to act out some training scenes.

Finally, here's a quick look at our element highlights from the set. As expected, the minifigure parts are still the stars of the show, but there is some nice MOC fodder too.

With so much going for it, 40765 Kamino training facility really feels like it could've been released as a regular playset. Nevertheless it's a fine GwP and a logical companion piece to 75409 Jango Fett's Starship.
