Which LEGO® VIDIYO™ tiles come in each set?

Posted by Admin

This month LEGO® VIDIYO™ was launched; the LEGO Group's latest virtual-meets-physical play product. This time the focus is on musical performance and video creation, and the accompanying sets include random printed 2x2 tiles, called BeatBits, that add fun effects to the videos you create once you scan them with the app. We showed them in our previous post but today we have them all listed in a table for you!

We hope to be taking a look at the new elements in the range soon  but if you're buying any, consider using our affiliate links – UK Amazon | UK LEGO Shop | USA LEGO Shop | USA Amazon | Australia LEGO Shop. New Elementary may get a commission.

TobyMac from Rebrickable team created this list using images supplied by Twitter user Yaj_RedNinja as well as information from Jon Gale and Mark F. Thank you all for the detective work!

Complete list of all LEGO® VIDIYO™ BeatBits tiles

A note if you are visiting Rebrickable's set inventories; all BeatBits tiles are merged into 1 placeholder with all possible prints as sub parts. The sets don't have the random tiles listed, but they've added a link to a dummy set with all VIDIYO tiles, so users can add them to a part list once they've opened their sets.

Information correct as of March 2021.

  1. There are a few of these that would work as arcade console screens, but most of them look like they're only likely to be used as posters or album covers.

    1. I think many would also work great for TV screens (a lot definitely have a music video look to them, appropriately for a similarly-named theme).

I definitely think a great job has been done on the graphic design here. The graphics are bold and crisp and the ones that feature people have some great minifigure graphics that give them a distinct "Lego" identity. There's also a wide variety of "genres" at play. Between this theme and Dots we've gotten to see some absolutely fabulous work from Lego's graphic designers that I expect will sees use in MOCs and displays long after those respective themes have run their course.

  2. Oh man, these would make an awesome record shop! I'm not usually into this sort of thing but some of these designs are super cool.

  4. Some great food signs as well. Nice for a cupcake store, ice cream shop, pie shop, popcorn cart, fried chicken restaurant!

  5. What is the best strategy to get a complete set? Are some tiles only available randomly so that even if one has all unique sets, duplicate purchases are needed to find the missing tiles among the random pool?

    1. From the looks of it, each blind-packaged "bandmate" has one exclusive tile and each larger "beatbox" has two exclusive tiles. All the rest are randomized. That said, I wouldn't rush to buy duplicates to "complete" your collection of randomized tiles if I were you. There's a not-insignificant chance that the summer sets might use the same "pool" of randomized tiles in addition to whatever exclusive tiles they bring, so they might help to fill in some of the gaps in your collection.

    2. I guess the tiles would be listed and sold separately on Bricklink in due time, as well, although the pre-sorting would likely cost you a bit extra per piece.
