The LEGO® Pick a Brick team have advised they will be updating their North American service in 2027 to be the same as the rest of the world, where there is no distinction between "Bestseller" and "Standard" bricks. To prepare for this change, Standard bricks will cease being available in North America starting Monday 2 November 2026 until some time in Q1 2027, to provide time to migrate Standard piece stocks (currently shipped from Denmark) to the American warehouse (pictured above, apologies for the low quality). This is similar to earlier years when the entire service used to shut down to deal with holiday demand.
In short: if you are in the US or Canada and want any Standard bricks in the next 3 to 6 months, purchase them this month, as Sunday 1 November is the final day.
Furthermore, LEGO® DUPLO® bricks will also go at the same time and will be gone for a longer period.

New on Pick a Brick Leaving Pick a Brick
Temporary Pause of Pick a Brick Standard Parts in the USA & Canada
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the Pick a Brick experience, we are expanding our North American warehouse capabilities to make the full Pick a Brick assortment available locally in the future. This expansion is already underway with 10,000+ parts now available as ‘Bestseller’, and is a major step toward faster service and broader availability of parts for builders across the United States and Canada.
To support peak holiday operations, this warehouse expansion activity will be temporarily paused, which means that any Pick a Brick Standard parts not yet migrated will become unavailable starting Monday November 2, 2026.
The final day to order Standard parts through the current setup will be Sunday November 1, 2026. While Pick a Brick Standard is closing in its current form, we expect the remaining parts to become available as ‘Bestseller’ during Q1 2027.
Please note that Duplo elements will take longer to return as part of this expansion. While Duplo remains on our roadmap and is planned to return in the future, availability is expected later than other Pick a Brick Standard elements. Customers looking to purchase Duplo parts are therefore encouraged to place their orders before November 1, 2026, as these items may not reappear for some time.
We understand that many builders rely on Pick a Brick parts for their projects, and we appreciate your patience as we complete this transition and work toward a better long-term experience.
Thank you for being part of the LEGO community. We look forward to serving you with an expanded Pick a Brick offering soon.

Funnily enough they had already removed the distinction of Standard vs Bestseller like a month ago... it also cleared out my Standard cart around that time lol.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know if something's Standard until you open the pop-up window or add it to your cart and the progress bars for the service fee had been removed again.
