Back in March, four new LEGO® DC Batman™ sets were released: a Batman logo; and not one, not two, but three new Batmobiles. Our earlier review of 76330 Batman™ Logo covered the first, and now it's the turn of the other three. Guest reviewer Mansur "Waffles" Soeleman returns to cover all the black and very dark grey parts.
I’m not the biggest superhero fan, but I like Batman as much as the next guy, and I do like cars. This mini-wave of Batmobiles has been very well received and praised for its “LEGO® Speed Champions-lite” level of detail. 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, 76332 The Batman Batmobile, and 76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile are three different cars with three different Batmen, from three different films!
Not only did I review the sets themselves, including the few new and interesting parts: I’ve also photographed the cars in Liverpool, UK where the 2022 movie The Batman was filmed.

76331 Batman v Superman™ Batmobile

This set depicts the Batmobile featured in the 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and includes a minifigure of Ben Affleck's Batman, but where is the Man of Steel?

Minifigure
The Batman in this set is based on Ben Affleck, who portrays the character in a more brooding and depressed fashion than usual, probably due to Zack Snyder’s dark and edgy direction.
- Mask, Batman Cowl with White Eyes pattern in Pearl Titanium (6614120 | 3320) is a recolour and I admit, this one looks cool.
- Minifig Head Winter Soldier, Black Eyebrows, Dark Brown Stubble Beard, Neutral Smile / Angry in Light Nougat (6526592 | 111347) has been used in four other sets.
- 1x Neckwear Cape, One Top Hole Long in Black (6601630 | 117204) - new cape design exclusive to this set.
- 1x Minifig Neckwear Armour Shoulder Pads in Pearl Titanium (6591913 | 8035) - new mould.
- Torso, Batman Armour, Grey Straps, Dark Tan Utility Belt print, Pearl Titanium Arms and Hands in Pearl Titanium (6603150) has armour that looks like a stormtrooper, and it is exclusive to this set.
- Hips and Pearl Titanium Legs with Black Batman Armour print in Pearl Titanium (6586478 | 115893) are exclusive to this set.
The repurposed head print has stubble and is double-sided with an angry grimace and a… wait, is that a smile? In my hardcore Snyderverse film for adults, Batfleck smiles? Did Joss Whedon come in and force him to quip?
NB. A Kryptonite spear is not included, neither is the other laughable climactic plot device.

- 1x Slope Curved 4 x 6 x 2/3 Triple Curved with 4 Studs in Dark Bluish Grey (6592401 | 52031) has been in many sets but has not been seen since 2019.
- 2x Panel 1 x 2 x 1 in Trans-Black (6514124 | 4865) in two other sets.
- 1x Grille / Spoiler with 1 x 2 Plate, 2 x 2 Anti-studs in Dark Bluish Grey (6170774 | 50949) in two other sets.
Build
There’s more LEGO® Technic bricks involved than expected, but this tank needs a decent framework for Batfleck to sit low inside. SNOT techniques are added to each side, along with the left and right Roof Tile 2x5, 45 Deg. (3504 and 3505) to create some sweet angles. These wedges first appeared in 76915 Pagani Utopia and you can see more about their geometry in Tom's review of the LEGO Speed Champions Utopia.
The Anniversary Tile is added inside the cockpit, right underneath where Batfleck’s bum would be. I wonder if that’s meant to represent how Zack Snyder’s Batman… nevermind.
More of the bodywork gets added, including the windscreen, and Bat-merch launchers. For when Batfleck visits the local orphanage with a smile on his face (which he has).
The rear wheels go on in a straightforward manner but the front ones require them to be wedged between a strange subassembly using the motorcycle piece. Those aren’t attached to the rest of the car any other way, only via the axle. I expected that to cause a bit of friction for the front wheels but it works flawlessly. More tanky bits and bobs get added, some in the front, and the rest behind the cockpit. It’s like this particular car was trying to one-up the Tumbler of the Dark Knight trilogy.
Completed set
This funny looking tank-supercar might be a guilty pleasure for me. It just manages to be cool if you ignore the fact that it’s supposed to be a Batmobile. I like the low profile and the intricate angles on it which are much more noticeable since this car is appropriately dark bluish grey rather than black.
76332 The Batman Batmobile

This Batmobile is based on the vehicle from the 2022 film The Batman, when Robert Pattison played Bruce Wayne (and his alter ego).
New mould and new print
- 1x Tile 6 x 6 with Smooth Surface in Black (6603259 | 7798) is a new variation of the 6x6 tile mould (10202)
- 1x Tile Round 2 x 2 with 'LEGO BATMAN', '20 YEARS', '2006-2026' and Batman Symbol Print (6586476)
The new 6x6 tile is smooth and shiny as opposed to the previous textured, matt version as demonstrated by the dark turquoise tile (10202). I imagine that this is to maintain consistency with all the other tiles, which are smooth, well except for the 8x16 tile.
Minifigure
The Batman in this set bases its appearance on Robert Pattinson, who portrays the character as… brooding and depressed.

- Minifig Head Paul Atreides, Dark Eyebrows, Cheek Lines, Neutral/Stern print in Light Nougat (6476878) has been used in four previous sets.
- Neckwear Cape, Scalloped 5 Points, One Top Hole [Spongy Stretchable Fabric] in Black (6215542 | 37157) has been used by Batman in over 20 sets already.
- Torso, Batman Armor, Black Bat, Utility Belt, Muscles print, Dark Bluish Gray Arms, Black Hands in Dark Bluish Gray (6603203) is exclusive to this set.
- Hips with Dark Bluish Gray Legs and Black Boots Pattern with Black Batman Armour print in Dark Bluish Gray (6586444) is also exclusive to this set.
Here the minifigure head kind of fits Battinson, but I would have liked something more unique, perhaps with the emo eye shadow?
Rare-ish elements
- 6x Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2 Centered in Light Bluish Gray (6586643 | 7674) these are not really rare, but they are a fairly new mould and an interesting element that Tom looked at in more detail in his analysis of new moulds in LEGO® Botanicals 11501 Tulip Bouquet & 11509 Flowering Cactus.
- 2x Bar 6L with Stop Ring in Flat Silver (6474270 | 28921) in four other sets.
- 4x Bar Holder with Hole and Bar Handle in Metallic Silver (6501699 | 109636) in four other sets.
- 1x Tile 1 x 2 with Sloped Walls aka Gold Bar [Ingot] in Dark Tan (6575078 | 99563) in two other sets.
- 1x Teacup Saucer with Recessed Stud on Top in Light Bluish Gray (6531935 | 3576) in six others sets, but only ever in small quantities of one or two.
Build
The build begins almost like a LEGO Speed Champions car: the large car chassis is the base; and bricks, plates, and brackets get built around it. The front grille and bumper are added early; it looks mean at an angle.
The C-pillars and rear bodywork gets added alongside rear lamps and brake lights as well as an exposed engine, which provides plenty of greebling. The Formula 1 suspension mount with fender (6813) are used for the rear axle but reversed. Still, it’s good to see them used outside of the so-called pinnacle of motorsport.
The rest of the bodywork in the front is added with the roof. The Anniversary Tile sits deep in the front where you’d think there would be another engine. An easily removable block of brackets and ingots go on top, which you could switch out for a LEGO® SMART Brick if you actually wanted to make that more useful than making pew-pew sounds in LEGO® Star Wars sets.
Completed set
I like this Batmobile. Not because it’s from my second-favourite Batman film (The LEGO Batman Movie being the first) but because it’s a cool, realistic looking Batmobile; something Batman would make using existing parts rather than commissioning a sci-fi tank. The ingots in the front and the exposed engine convey a tuning nature of the car, and the forward slant with the reinforced front bumper give it a mean look.

Finally, we have the Batmobile from the 1997 movie, Batman & Robin™. Spoiler alert: there's no Robin in the set.

There are just two recolours and one new print in this set, the same new printed 2x2 tile as we have seen in the other two sets.

The Batman in set 76333 is based on George Clooney, who portrays the character in Batman & Robin in anything but a brooding and depressed manner.

- Minifig Head, Eyebrows, Chin Dimple, Frown / Angry Print in Light Nougat (6258524) has been in over 30 sets, depicting many characters from Bruce Wayne to Draco Malfoy.
- Neckwear Cape, Scalloped 5 Points, One Top Hole in Black (6215542 | 37157) has been worn by many other Batmen in the past.
- Torso Armour, Silver Batman Logo and Plates print, Black Arms and Hands (6607288) is an exclusive new print.
- Hips and Black Legs with Silver Armour, Bat Symbols print in Black (6586452) are also exclusive to this set.
Rare elements
- 2x Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 6 in Lime (6561725 | 6970) has only appeared in 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Sports Car (Tom's review of the LEGO Speed Champions Hellcat can be found here).

Build
This is not a LEGO Speed Champions set: it is simple and straightforward, yet offers SNOT techniques here and there. The standout is the sideways-mounted module with a LEGO Speed Champions mudguard to signify the rounded front of the cockpit.
Curved slopes and wedges get added right side up, with plenty of new-ish curved elements to convey the fancy, old-timey shapes of the car. The Anniversary Tile is added to the front of the hood, right in front of an empty hole.
In the rear, flat silver teeth are stacked on dark red jumper plates, creating a nice stagger of spikes and rear lights.
Finally, the wings are added, because it’s not a Batmobile without the iconic batwing motif. They are interesting subassemblies, with layered wedges, angled plates, and the aforementioned 1 x 2 x 2/3 brick with studs on sides (4595) for the stylised split of the front grille, which would be more noticeable if I applied stickers.
Completed set
I admit, this is a weird one: Open cockpit, elongated, with a stretched bullet shape with wings on top. I also have not seen the Batman & Robin movie, so I don’t have much of a reference for the real thing, but based on a few movie stills, even that looks unconventional.
Nevertheless, the sleek, old-timey look of this particular Batmobile makes this a luxurious ride for Gotham’s most infamous bachelor.
Final thoughts
Overall, these three Batmobiles are great “LEGO Speed Champions sets for Batman fans”, and I would’ve loved to see a more complete wave perhaps including the Tumbler and the iconic 1989 Batmobile. The option to unlock them in the new LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight video game is a good touch too and I will definitely be making good use of that. Unfortunately the pieces aren’t as interesting to make good MOCs out of, but the inclusion of exclusive figures makes up for it.
I can see these three sets plus the previously reviewed Batman logo in every Batman fan’s collection.
