We spotted a new mould that, at time of writing, can only found in two LEGO® Classic sets from January 2025: 11042 Creative Happy Box and 11040 Magical Transparent Box.

It's a 2x2 tile with a vertical ring, and seems to be a way to hang models in the two classic sets. We are sure it offers more creative possibilities than that, so let's set the New Elementary Hive Mind to work and take a closer look.

"the 3.18mm ring is 3 modules in diameter"
ReplyDeleteActually the diameter is 2 modules (disregarding the ring's thickness).
Thanks for the fun investigation!
Ahh yes - will fix!
DeleteNice review!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen this year's Christmas seasonal sets but I wouldn't be surprised to see this part used in some of those, seems perfect for hanging ornaments (especially ones that are simple enough for a young age grade).
