Then you put a Technic half-pin inside the head (illegal connection because it stresses the tip of the half-pin, as the clips are left compressed by the head, which is why they didn't do it for the Exo-Suit turtle). This leaves a stud at the other end that you can connect the cheese wedges to. It's an imperfect connection, but I guess Reid is famous for those.Purple Davenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-40515181111268648702018-05-15T09:00:27.206+01:002018-05-15T09:00:27.206+01:00Ah, yes, there's that flat spot where they cli...Ah, yes, there's that flat spot where they clip the corner of the stud so it doesn't hang over the edge of the boat stud. Normally it doesn't matter, but if you turn it diagonally that flat spot is suddenly on the side. That results in the stud only have firm contact on two opposing sides instead of all four. I can see how that would cause the Design Department to twitch uncontrollably.Purple Davenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-16336301054934175782018-05-15T03:18:00.497+01:002018-05-15T03:18:00.497+01:00I love these and want to build some, but for the l...I love these and want to build some, but for the life of me I can't figure out how the cheese wedges on the feet are connected to the rest of the body. Mark had to connect it by two studs, resulting in the turtle having two eyes instead of one. I stood outside the LEGO store before it opened on the release date of the Exosuit Suit, just to get my hands on one. These turtles are so iconic within the LEGO community. It's great to see a good article about their history. I need to build myself some more turtles now. PaulvilleMOCshttp://flickr.com/photos/147803634@N04/noreply@blogger.com
