They remind me of the kinds of things we might have gotten if Elves had stuck around to utilize some of those new arches and things.Andrew Barnickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11723179808721244651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-43115188774813429362021-01-28T14:18:02.216+00:002021-01-28T14:18:02.216+00:00I think the reason there's no Technic pin hole...I think the reason there's no Technic pin holes in the swing is to keep the mold simple. As it is now, it looks like it can be produced with a standard two-part injection mold. If pin holes were added, there'd need to be a sliding insert to create the pin hole once the two halves of the mold were pressed together. Since that'd make the molding process much more complicated, I assume LEGO decided it wasn't worth it for this part.Duncan Lindbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13465752569823210818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-61935603882914912862021-01-28T12:23:26.806+00:002021-01-28T12:23:26.806+00:00Hmm, this made me think of the old Fabuland swing,...Hmm, this made me think of the old Fabuland swing, which looks fairly good even with regular minifigs.

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2045c01&name=Fabuland%20Swing%20Base%20with%20Red%20Seat&category=%5BFabuland%5D#T=P

Unfortunately, the part mold wasn't around for Paradisa Fun Fair in 1997, which instead had to make do with the absurdly oversized Belville swing.

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=6547-1#T=PHåkan S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00767889630145885090noreply@blogger.com
