You have a 90° gear pair, a shaft, two universal joints, a linear actuator, and a 4-bar linkage between the two, which is a bit much to be bearing the stress against the friction of a piece like the one mentioned.Bfahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11789202686515878646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-69983293852750527622021-05-01T22:59:30.383+01:002021-05-01T22:59:30.383+01:00I think the age ratings on LEGO sets should be bas...I think the age ratings on LEGO sets should be based on how difficult it is to take apart rather than how difficult it is to put together! Or maybe the instructions could include dissasmbly steps for tricky bits like this.Sharon@SproutsandWildlingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16622277229615660467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-4426452813663774952021-05-01T06:15:36.051+01:002021-05-01T06:15:36.051+01:00Regarding the eventual removal of those ++o 3L axl...Regarding the eventual removal of those ++o 3L axle pins, I've found that part #87618 (Bar 5L with Handle [Friction Ram]) works fantastically in such tight spaces. The short end gives you something more than the tip of a standard bar when pushing with longer shaft, and it will easily fit into that 2-wide gap so you can push those axles out far enough that you can grab onto the flange and pull it the rest of the way. Because it's just a bar, you might even be able to twist it into an axle hole with only 1 stud of clearance. It might not go in all the way, but it should be nough to press the flange clear enough to hook it with your fingernails. That's certainly preferable to teeth, right?Purple Davenoreply@blogger.com
