Then it doesn't matter that the set came out months ago, as other reviewers usually focus on the set as a whole.Mr Classicnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-31598770488194247032021-09-28T08:19:37.311+01:002021-09-28T08:19:37.311+01:00Respect to the Rollbühler!Respect to the Rollbühler!Adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05188856208086872634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-77406495556337927012021-09-28T08:18:30.218+01:002021-09-28T08:18:30.218+01:00Thanks for commenting!!Thanks for commenting!!Adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05188856208086872634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-19194845256559388122021-09-28T08:06:09.375+01:002021-09-28T08:06:09.375+01:00Fantastic review.

I was planning on holding out until the start of 2022. but I think it'll be earlier than that. Thanks for putting it all together and I know for sure I'll love crafting this - will look great alongside my Ninjago City, Ninjago Docks and Temple of Airjitzu XL.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14834936958831222446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-70301506729937259872021-09-28T02:05:10.625+01:002021-09-28T02:05:10.625+01:00It's amazing how often these sets manage to in...It's amazing how often these sets manage to integrate such a high number of frankly awe-inspiring parts usages, especially since they all have to be done with only "legal" connections.Bfahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11789202686515878646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-18209344386915010562021-09-27T17:21:08.526+01:002021-09-27T17:21:08.526+01:00Great review! I'm sure with a set this size with this much to talk about, it took some time to put together!

I really want to get ahold of more of that escalator link piece so that I can experiment with working escalators in builds. Something I'm sure could be done fairly easily (but hasn't been done yet in the two sets it's appeared in) is to have two escalators geared together so that when one goes up, the other goes down.

In terms of recolors, I'm very pleased with the dark bley baby carrier used for that Exo-Force homage. If only it came in gold as well so you could build Meca-One! The dark bley 3x1 brick with round ends is another interesting recolor. Its only use prior to this was as the head of Dr. Fox from the Unikitty theme, making this both the first recolor of it and the first time it has appeared unprinted!

The green Wolverine claws used on the small bonsai in this set, which debuted here, will soon be used to wonderful effect as a pine-needle garland in the new Winter Village set!

I'm mildly amused by the Bricklink/Rebrickable name of 48277 (Tile 1 x 1 with Swirl, Van Gogh Painting print). In reality this print was designed as a unicorn mane design for the Dots theme, but because that theme got delayed by a year and the print consequently ended up debuting in the Trafalgar Square set as a painting, it ended up getting an art history-inspired name instead.

Your review of the various interesting building techniques is pretty comprehensive, but one thing that went unmentioned in the review was the sticker sheet! Like the two previous Ninjago City sets, this set's sticker sheet is packed with easter eggs not just referencing Ninjago, but also other themes including Rock Raiders, Adventurers, Clikits, Space Police, and even Znap!Andrew Barnickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11723179808721244651noreply@blogger.com
