I really like the idea of connecting the nexogons on the long side with hinge plates instead of clips.<br /><br />Incidentally, I just noticed that Lego used at least one nexogon (probably two or more) to build the triangular structure of the upcoming Star Wars Freemakers ship "Tracker I" (http://brickset.com/sets/75185-1/Tracker-I).
