Revealed: 43022 Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet and 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet from LEGO® Editions Formula 1®

The popularity of the LEGO® helmets will extend to Formula 1® in May 2026 when LEGO® Editions, the new theme aimed at teenage builders, will release sets featuring the helmets of Sir Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc – and in minifigure form, too! What we are truly excited about, however, are the (at least) six new moulds we've spotted.

Minifigures 

Well, these are very cute. The torsos are identical on the front, while the backs have the individual surnames. The legs are nearly identical, bar the number on the waist. I can't see any side printing.

Of course, the heads are new prints, but what about their awesome hairstyles? They don't look like familiar moulds, so we assume these are new, unless any of you experts out there can let us know better.

That leads us nicely on to our true area of expertise...

New moulds

Windscreen and mudguard?

The most in-your-face (literally) new part is the visor; trans-red in 43022 Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet and trans-black in 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet:

It's not a foil piece; you can make out the curved edges in close up. The 3 decorations on the visor are stickers, and the long centre one will be tricky to apply, but we reckon everything else in this set is printed!

We can't make out the connection points of this visor. In some shots it looks like there's a stud-based connection at the lower side of the ends; in others it looks like a LEGO® Technic connection. It is clear from the way pieces fit around it that it is very much designed to be in LEGO® System.

This is one of those moulds that makes an interesting building challenge to use as something else, rather than being something you'll naturally find uses for! I instantly thought of a windscreen, perhaps for the massive bridge of a Space Police 1 craft. Can you think of anything more inventive? 

Wait – did you also spot another new mould in the pictures above, or like us, were you completely distracted by the visor? 

Directly below the visor is a curved brick with printing, yellow in the Hamilton and white in the Leclerc. The decoration implies it must be a single piece, and the lack of stud notches on the underside suggests it is an arch laid sideways; we think 10 modules wide. It reminds us of the classic 1994 LEGO® Belville  Brick Arch 1 x 12 x 5 Curved Top (6184).

Perhaps the connection points are antistuds on the two ends, facing inwards? If so, they don't appear to be in use here. Perhaps there is a connection point under the centre of the arch – a plate extension, like a mudguard? (I'd love to see a vehicle using this as mudguards!) 

Note, however, that the mould is even more complex. It's a sloped arch! Which again, invites comparison to mudguards. I feel it makes a part a lot less useful though, however it would still work as an arched entrance.

The next new moulds are way more useful.

5x5 quarter round panel and plate

Again, two moulds to spot here:

 

What initially looks like pairs of printed Brick Round Corner 5 x 5 x 3 1/3 Quarter Dome Top (76776) is actually a new hollow panel, as the loose element photographs above reveal. These, of course, will be much more flexible for MOCs as they allow all manner of intricate building to be placed within!

 

Below the quarter domes are pairs of stacked Plate Round Corner 5 x 5; another new and very useful new mould – and unlike all the other new moulds in this set, it isn't printed! 

Up until now we have had to make do with Brick Round Corner 5 x 5 Macaroni with 1/3 Inner Side (5532), and possibly the designers of this could have got away with using it too, but it would have made the quarter domes above one plate higher.

Wider curved slopes

Once more, two new moulds to spot here:

Many curved slopes and wedges are dotted around these helmets, but after a good look we think (just) two of them are new. They could both be built with existing 1-module-wide parts, but need decoration, which would have looked much worse when split over multiple pieces.

And so we receive Slope Curved 8 x 4 x 1 2/3 and Slope Curved 3 x 4 x 2/3, once again in yellow in the Hamilton and white in the Leclerc. Will we ever see them unprinted though?
