I've created a list showing all 36 new LEGO® elements added in November 2023, including a new mold yet to be released! For those of you who instead prefer our list of sets showing which contain the most new elements, click here.

The list is pretty short; most of these come from 71426 Piranha Plant, the only set released this month that isn't a Gift with Purchase. Therefore, this month is brought to you by the color green! There are 20 recolors in Bright Green or Dark Green/Green (when oh when will all sites start using the same names), as well as some more appearing in our Return of the Elements category.
Most notable is an element that doesn't come from any set. I discovered a mysterious new rounded plate while browsing Pick a Brick, Plate Round 4 x 6 in White. It had no image, and the Element and Design IDs (6438761 | 3766) corresponded to no known products. So I ordered it, and to my surprise it turned up!
The part is a nice addition to the rounded plate family, sporting rounded corners of 2-module radius. We have no idea where it came from. It could be left over from a set that was cancelled, or maybe it will appear in an upcoming set and was added to Pick a Brick by accident?
We're thinking of nicknaming it the egg plate, or perhaps the Gloria Gaynor: the mother of all discorectangles!
Which is your favorite for November?
We have divided the elements in the usual 6 groups.
- New Moulds - Elements that are new shapes (or existing ones that have been amended in some way).
- Recolours - Existing elements that have been colour-changed.
- New Prints - Elements that have a never-before-seen printed decoration. Note, if a new printed is also a New Mould or a Recolour, it will appear in those groups rather than in New Prints.
- Potentially New Moulds - LEGO has probably updated the mould but this can be such an insignificant change to builders, Rebrickable merge the new element with the older one. But if it is a larger change that alters the functionality of the part, Rebrickable give it its own listing. They don't know until someone has the old and new elements in hand to check for differences, so if you have them please contact TobyMac via Rebrickable.
- Return of the Element - Elements that already exist, but have been out of production for a long time.
Each element has direct affiliate links to the element on Pick a Brick. However, LEGO take a minimum of 3 months to add new elements to Pick a Brick, so none of these elements (except Gloria Gaynor's egg?) will be available yet. Wild. I'd presume that new oval plate would originate with either Friends or most likely Mario. I like your nickname, but "oval" really does perfectly describe it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about it appearing in Mario—it doesn't really conform to the design style of that theme's bases (typically two plates thick, with rounded corners rather than fully rounded ends).
DeleteThe design to me suggests a simple base for a small build, and combined with the color I sort of wonder whether it might be for some sort of winter GWP?
Someone had suggested it could be a base for a Mario Kart car...
DeleteIt's fun to speculate! Why did this plate demand a new element instead of an arguably more versatile 2x4 half-circle? Presumably the shape is important and the set design was such that building the shape from multiple parts wouldn't work. I'm curious to see where it shows up for sure.

Deletefyi Andrew, plasmanoid didn't mean it was bad... they had asked on another post why the Nov update was late and I said we were saving for December cos it was short! The 4x6 plate tipped the scale for me though
DeleteI found that 4x6 round plate about a week ago, and almost ordered it just to see if it was what the description implied. But I decided I didn't need to know badly enough to pay for it, so I'm glad you got it so we could all find out.

DeleteI would say the new Plate Round 4 x 6 in White looks more like a pill than an egg. Though in geometry that shape is known as a "stadium".
