Lego history always seems to fascinate me, I've also read a couple from TheToyReport if you might be interested in trivia and facts about Lego like me. Keep it up. :)Mike Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14705806593127289691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-50419229266270868912019-04-27T20:32:19.380+01:002019-04-27T20:32:19.380+01:00If I remember correctly, all modern (1980s and lat...If I remember correctly, all modern (1980s and later) Lego bricks were designed to be compatible (with the exception of the soft bricks that were discontinued around 2003 and those odd and short-lived K’Nex-like beams…). This included even the "Modulex" bricks. Not sure if Primo and Quadro (the latter was a response to Mega Bloks in the early 2000s) were part of this system, as priorities in the BLL Design Lab shifted from 100% System focus to profitability and response time (TTM) in the late 90s... The official LEGO history is correct most of the time. There are a few (strategic) omissions here and there, which I find a bit unnecessary. Well, at the end of the day it's the guys at Kirkby A/S who determine what gets published (and when) anyway. Maybe someday we will get to see some of the bricks that were developed but got stopped at the last second for legal reasons... I don't need to see them in a play set but a "best of rejected" section in the Lion House would be awesome - but that's probably exactly why this will never happen: many of the shelved concepts are still relevant today and are maybe just waiting for their time ;-)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11623580717424721936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-276033407505619194.post-37786208331815316522017-12-24T22:12:01.492+00:002017-12-24T22:12:01.492+00:00That’s great!! Much like the American brick is 125x the size of the Modulex brick, the European one would be 27x the size of a standard LEGO brick.Purple Davenoreply@blogger.com
